Craig Koenigsberg

Founder & CEO

Craig Koenigsberg began his career working under some of the most well-known real estate professionals in New York City, building experience in the acquisition and management of apartment buildings in four boroughs of New York. In 1980, Mr. Koenigsberg and his father Maynard, with a combined 90 years’ experience in real estate investment and management, founded CLK Properties in order to acquire New York City apartment buildings. In the early 1990’s, he began to buy garden apartment complexes outside of New York and since then built his core business around this property type, focusing primarily on expanding markets in the Southeast, Southwest, Midwest, Northeast and Mid-Atlantic. 

A diversified investor, Mr. Koenigsberg also amassed a portfolio of office properties on Long Island, NY totaling in excess of 2.5 million square feet, all of which is operated by his dedicated commercial management group from his headquarters in Woodbury, NY. Mr. Koenigsberg received a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from The University of Maryland in 1983.
